We are proud to partner with Watford Social Housing on an ambitious project to improve the energy efficiency of 285 social housing units through the installation of External Wall Insulation (EWI). This initiative, fully funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), utilises advanced EPS systems to significantly reduce energy loss and enhance living conditions for residents. Our collaboration aims to achieve substantial energy savings and contribute to a more sustainable future for the Watford community.
Enhancing Thermal Performance and Energy Efficiency: Through the installation of advanced EWI systems, our goal is to significantly improve the thermal efficiency of the housing units. By reducing heat loss through the building envelope, we aim to lower energy consumption and enhance overall energy performance.
Improving Resident Comfort and Reducing Energy Bills: Enhanced insulation not only helps maintain more consistent indoor temperatures but also contributes to greater comfort and reduced heating costs for residents, thereby improving their quality of life.
Supporting Environmental Sustainability: This project aligns with broader environmental sustainability goals by reducing carbon emissions associated with heating, thereby contributing positively to the fight against climate change.
Significant Energy Savings: By minimising heat loss, the project is anticipated to achieve substantial reductions in energy consumption across the 285 housing units, leading to lower energy bills for residents.
Carbon Emissions Reduction: Reduced energy consumption translates directly into lower carbon emissions, helping to create a more environmentally responsible living environment.
Enhanced Living Conditions: Residents will benefit from improved thermal comfort throughout the year, with reduced draughts and more stable indoor temperatures, promoting better health and well-being.
Financial Benefits: Lower energy bills mean more disposable income for residents, potentially improving overall financial stability and quality of life within the community.
This project exemplifies our proactive approach to addressing energy efficiency challenges within social housing, demonstrating the tangible benefits of investing in sustainable housing solutions. We are committed to driving positive change through innovation and collaboration, setting new standards for sustainable living in social housing communities.
